The LDYC Skateboard Art Program is a youth-led creative initiative that uses skateboard decks as a powerful canvas for self-expression, skill-building, and community connection.
High school–aged youth design and create original artwork on skateboard decks while developing artistic techniques, teamwork, communication skills, and confidence. Skateboarding culture has long been rooted in creativity, resilience, and individuality, and this program honors that legacy by giving young people a meaningful space to share their stories, experiences, and identities through art.
The program is grounded in LDYC’s mission to empower young people through creativity, mentorship, and opportunity. Youth are supported by caring adults and mentors who encourage leadership, positive decision-making, and personal growth in a safe, affirming environment.
All completed boards are donated to children and youth who cannot afford skateboards through partnerships with local community organizations, schools, and youth-serving programs. These donations help remove barriers to access while allowing youth participants to experience the full cycle of impact — creating with purpose, giving back, and strengthening community connection.

Get Involved:
LDYC welcomes donations of new or gently used skateboard decks, helmets, wheels, trucks, and protective gear to support this program. Donated equipment helps expand access to creativity, recreation, and safe skateboarding for youth in our community. Individuals, skate shops, and community partners interested in donating or learning more are encouraged to contact us.
