Elijah Joshua has been a certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor for over 20 years. He started as a counselor in California in 2001 and moved to Portland in 2014.  He has put his time and skills to good use at LifeWorks NW House of Umoja, here in Portland, as well as working with foster care and probation families, assisting them where needed through difficult times.  Elijah then became a Youth Development Coach and works in the Portland School District.  His passion is to reach the youth before they become so corrupted by drugs and alcohol that their life seems lost.   Elijah’s experience and past tenure working with youth provides a much needed resource to the organization for our students to get the assistance they need.
