Welcome to the Like Dat Youth Connections website (“LDYC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online forms, donations, volunteer opportunities, and informational content (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Like Dat Youth Connections
Like Dat Youth Connections is a community-based nonprofit initiative supporting youth and young adults ages 16–21 through mentorship, workforce readiness, creative engagement, and recovery-supportive non-clinical programming. Information on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
2. Eligibility
Program participation is limited to youth and young adults ages 16–21, unless otherwise stated.
Individuals under the age of 18 may only submit applications, participate in programs, or engage in volunteer activities with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Additional written consent, waivers, and participation agreements will be required prior to participation.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the website and Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm any person
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website
LDYC reserves the right to restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
4. Non-Clinical Services Disclaimer
LDYC provides non-clinical, non-medical, and non-therapeutic services only. Participation does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or clinician-client relationship.
LDYC services are supportive and educational in nature and are not a substitute for licensed treatment, medical care, court-mandated services, or emergency services.
5. Program Participation & Services
Participation in LDYC programs, mentorship, workforce activities, or recovery-supportive services may require additional agreements, waivers, screening, or eligibility criteria in accordance with county, state, federal, or private funding requirements.
LDYC reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue programs or eligibility criteria as necessary to remain compliant with funding, regulatory, or organizational requirements.
6. User Submissions, Forms, & Applications
Submission of forms—including contact forms, youth program applications, volunteer sign-ups, or other interest forms—does not guarantee participation, placement, employment, or services.
Youth Applications (Ages 16–21)
Applicants under the age of 18 confirm that a parent or legal guardian is aware of and consents to the application. Additional written consent and waivers are required prior to participation.
Volunteer Sign-Ups
Volunteer participation does not guarantee placement. Volunteers may be required to complete screening, training, background checks, or additional documentation depending on role and applicable funding requirements.
Information submitted may be used for program administration and required grant, contract, or audit reporting in aggregated or de-identified form when required.
7. Donations
Donations made through the website are voluntary and processed through third-party payment providers. LDYC does not store full credit or debit card information.
Donations are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by law. Restricted donations will be used in accordance with donor intent and applicable funding requirements.
8. Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, graphics, logos, images, and materials, is owned by or licensed to LDYC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Content may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without written permission.
9. Third-Party Links
The website may contain links to third-party websites or services. LDYC is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. LDYC makes no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability.
